John Hock is an IT manager at Doeren Mayhew, providing clients with solutions to their information system and cybersecurity concerns.
Working closely with privately held companies and financial institutions, John assesses application and general controls as well as regulatory compliance as it relates to information systems. His familiarity with a range of operating platforms, accounting systems, and financial applications enables him to perform proficient audits and develop recommendations for improvements.
Drawing on his experience completing engagements guided by SOX, COBIT, COSO, NIST, and ISO frameworks, John delivers a suite of IT advisory and security services ranging from the development of security policies and cybersecurity assessments to System and Organizational Controls (SOC) reporting.
Prior to joining the firm, John gained industry knowledge and experience working at a large financial institution performing a variety of accounting functions and assisting customers with their financial needs.
